The Company has carried several million tonnes of diverse cargoes such as sulphur, rock phosphate, heavy machinery (ship’s engines and generators), zinc concentrate, coal, cement, iron ore, soyabean meal, furnace oil and phosphoric acid, venturing into transportation by barges outside Kerala in such places as Karwar (Karnataka) and Redi Port (Maharashtra). LOTS-India has emerged as a key provider of barging services along the west coast of the country and has carried out operations such as loading of ships and lightening of ships at various anchorages around the country. The Company’s vision still is to capitalize on the strengths it has acquired and add significantly to the tonnage owned.

LOTS-India has undertaken and accomplished several turnkey and over-dimensional cargo (ODC) projects. One of them has been the complete transport from the manufacturer to the work site the pipes required for the single point mooring project for KRL (Kochi Refineries Limited)&Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). This involved the transportation of 1,652 cement-coated 48” diameter pipes each weighing about 26T from Mundra Port in Gujarat to Kochi, discharge from ship, transport and storage at yards and finally the last-mile delivery to the pipe-laying barge of the principal contractors M/s. Leighton India Private Limited. The project was accomplished successfully meeting the stringent timelines set by the principal contractors.

LOTS-India had introduced the first Roll-on/Roll-off service in India way back in 2011 and created a history of continuous Ro-Ro operation between Willingdon Island and Bolgatty at Kochi for more than five years, under a long-term deal signed with the Cochin Port Trust (CoPT).

The Company is poised to shortly enter the River Sea Shipping segment with a River Sea Vessel (RSV) titled M.V. Beypore Sultan which is in an advanced stage of construction at DEMPO Shipyard in Goa, India.
